Our History

Black Travel Lounge was founded in 2018 by Travel Enthusiast and Entrepreneur, Bruce Powell. As a traveler Bruce has explored over 70 countries and as a Travel Advisor he has booked his clients to many more. Today, he leads a team of digital content creators and travel planners who are committed to supplying the Black American community with the latest resources for all things travel.

If you have any questions that you cannot find the answers to, please email us at info@blacktravellounge.com.

You have a courtesy 48-hour grace period to cancel your booking. There will be an administrative fee of 4% to process the refund. Please see our Terms and Conditions for the complete cancellation policy.

For Private Tours, Travel Insurance is recommended but not mandatory. For our Group Tours,  Travel Protection is required. Black Travel Lounge offers a travel protection add-on for every tour we operate or trip we plan. If you prefer to purchase your own plan, proof of coverage is required. Proof of coverage or the purchase of Black Travel Lounge’s option must be made at least 45 days before departure.

Yes! For private touring and standard travel planning, your itinerary can be customized entirely down to the most minor details.

For our group departures, we are interested in hearing your suggestions. We cannot guarantee that changes will be made to our itineraries, but we are open to listening. We are a full-service travel agency. We can customize any pre or post-group trip travel extension. These can be entirely customized to your specification. Contact us today to learn more.

Entry/Exit requirements for US Passport holders will be provided to anyone traveling with Black Travel Lounge.

For Non-US Passport holders, please visit Visa Central for the most updated Entry/Exit requirements for your respective passport.

Yes! All of our tours offer flexible payment plans. Not every flight itinerary can be booked using an installment plan. This will depend on the trip, but we will advise upfront if we cannot. 

Yes, we do provide this service! We will search for your flight options complementarily. There is a fee of $50.00 per airline ticket issued if Black Travel Lounge issues your airline ticket. This fee includes our schedule monitoring and irregular operations rebooking services. There will be an option for to request Flight Booking Assistance during the tour bo

You will not be charged the ticketing fee until you have selected your itinerary and provided your authorization for us to ticket the itinerary. 

Yes! Black Travel Lounge Tours offers roommate matching assistance. There is an option to request this service in the booking process. You will be able to provide us with details about your ideal roommate. We will do our best to match you with the same-gender roommate that fits your request.

Each respective country determines Covid-19 and other Vaccination & Immunization requirements. Each Tour itinerary will list the destination’s Covid-19, Vaccination, and Immunization requirements. This information will be provided with your initial quote for all other Black Travel Lounge travel arrangements. The cost of any Vaccination or Immunization is not included in the price of your tour or another travel arrangement.
